Therefore, it's trusted to a boilermaker. The gearbox is recharged with some welding. The job is very well done. The gearbox is now reinforced. Reworked points are polished for a better finish.
04/2007 - The gearbox is ready for the rebuilt. The wheels for the trailer are back from sandblasting.These wheels, and 4 other wheels will be painted in Old English White. Body parts are taken out again and fitted on the chassis
04/2007 - The hard-top construction can't be done without the body assembled. Body panels, Brooklands aero-screens and mirror are fitted.
Holes for aero-screens and mirror are tapped before the body is painted.
05/2007 - Finally, the hard-top project is dropped. The last details are prepared before the complete restauration of all body panels. By the time, wheels for the trailer are back from the paint shop and the same day, the brand new bonnet is back from the fiber glass manufacturer! The fabrication of the bonnet can be seen on the following pictures.
The job is very well done, the quality is excellent.
