This Mosquito is mine. I'm gonna tell you his history.
This Mosquito has been built in 1985. It was originally fitted with an 850cc engine and a remote type gearbox as on early Minis and Coopers, but not a later rod change gearbox.
Brakes were originally all drums and wheels were standard 3,5'' steel wheels from a Mini.
At the moment, I don't have the complete history of my Mosquito. I don't have informations between october 1985 (when it's been registered) and february 2002. That's quite a long time but I don't desesperate to get any informations. So, as I've just said, the story begins in February 2002.
It's at this date that the Mosquito changes hands and is bought by an English friend. But I don't know this friend yet, back in 2002. This friend is named Chris and you'll know a bit more about him in the next pages. The sale of the Mosquito will be the end of a long period of storage for it as I was said it was sleeping in a shed (see picture below) for 11 years before Chris bought it!
Chris took it back home with his friends. A few days later, with a little TLC, and some minor repairs, the Mosquito is M.O.T'd and back on the road.
