Front wings are a bit more inclined than on ABW5J
Here is the second prototype of the Mosquito, registered as Q44JJO. It has been built in 1971 probably.
A few years ago, as I was having a look at a kit-car magazine issue, I saw something interesting in the classifieds (see picture on the right).
I showed this 'discovery' to Emilien, a friend and also a Mosquito lover, as I am. By chance, Jacques (Emilien's father) had to go to England the following days.
Contact is established with, Robert W., the owner, and also an appointement, in order to have a look at this Mosquito.
The pictures you can see on this page have been taken that day.
The main difference with the following Mosquitos, apart from some minor details, is that on the prototype, the front wheels and their wings are not under the bonnet but outside the bonnet.
The exhaust pipes are also different: on the prototype, we can notice two silencers from motorbikes (probably BSA or Triumph) while the following Mosquitos don't have any silencer.
Exhausts come from motorcycles, as on ABW5J
